Army Green and Modelling Mojo

If you're someone who wants wear colored pants but is hesitant to don a pair of bright red ones, then these army green pants are the ones for you. They're fun but are still pretty close to being a neutral. They're also a great way to incorporate this spring's military trend in a more subtle way. Also, since they're a fairly dark color, they are more flattering than a lot of other colored pants.

Sometimes being a fashion blogger can be just plain embarrassing. That's primarily thanks to the public photography sessions. During this particular shoot, I was slowly walking down the street as my wonderful photographer/husband was snapping some pictures and some guy who drove past yelled something out as he went by. It wasn't that it was a bad something, it just was probably meant a little bit sarcastically. Before that I totally had my "modelling mojo" going on but that kind of killed it. Not that I was upset in any way, it just threw me off. I started laughing and told John, "Wow, that was really embarrassing." To this, he replied, "They're just jealous." Yep, that dude in that car was totally jealous of me. I'm sure that was it. In his little heart of hearts he wanted to be a fashion blogger, strutting down the sidewalk in high heels. I'm not saying that's an impossibility but if I was a gambling woman, I wouldn't bet on that option. Thanks for trying to make me feel better though, honey, even if I don't believe you.

  1. You're not alone! I always get excited to take some pictures, my mojo is there, then there are either people watching, or something happens that that mojo just disappears. My husband/photographer is the same as yours, so gentle and always offers kind words, but sometimes the mojo just won't come back with a compliment! But yes, I agree with your husband and your train of thought- based on these pictures, of course that rude guy was jealous- you were rockin' style, confidence and overall awesomeness in these pictures!

  3. This outfit is so chic and I think these green pants are a great way to wear colored pants without being too bold. I am always embarrassed when I take photos and try to avoid people whenever possible! LOL!

  5. I definitely want a pair of olive toned pants for the fall. I love all my brights, but you're right, this is a way to subtle rock the colored pants trend. Loving the lace details of your tee. (: Have a great weekend!
