Boho-Chic

Sometimes an outfit comes together because of a new clothing item. This was this case with this look. These shoes were a mothers day gift. I thought they would look cute with my flare jeans. I thought my flare jeans would look great with my purple boho top. I thought my purple boho top would pair perfectly with the braided bead headband that I made a few days ago. Just like that, I had a very boho-chic look on my hands. All I'm missing are a pair of round sunglasses. But that might take this a little too far into costume territory. In fact, I think I might already be straddling that line.

Eve definitely loves her new little sister. Maybe a little too much, if that's possible. She often smothers Lily with kisses and hugs Lily's head. This means that a lot of supervision is required when the two are near each other, at least until Lily is big enough to defend herself. Lately Eve's favorite thing to do is to brush her hair on Lily's face. It's adorable but after a minute or two, Lily starts to get a little annoyed. Eve also loves putting shoes on Lily's feet. It doesn't matter whether those shoes are Lily's, Eve's, or mine. Eve will try to put them on Lily and will usually get frustrated and have a mini meltdown when she can't manage it. I'm really just joking about Eve loving her sister too much. I'm so happy that they get along so well. Every time Eve tells people about her "little sister" or she stops what she's doing to give Lily a soft little kiss on the forehead, my heart just melts. Even though Lily takes away some of her mommy-time, Eve never lashes out at Lily. That was my biggest fear about having two little ones. So, if Lily would just take naps during the day that were longer than 15 minutes, things would be pretty close to perfect.
