Lace, Fringe, and Choker Necklaces
Are these the most flattering shorts in the world? No. At least not at my current weight. But, in my defense, it was 105 degrees in St. George on the day we took these pictures and when it's that hot, you squeeze yourself into whatever shorts you have. And it just so happens that my postpartum body isn't quite ready to fit into these shorts comfortably yet. The moral of this story: try on things before you pack them so that you know if they fit, especially if you just had a baby three months before.
Lace fringe top: H&M (on sale for $9!) | Bermuda shorts: Wet Seal (similar here and here) | Embellished sandals: Target | Braided bead choker necklace: made by me | Rose gold bracelets: H&M (similar here)

I haven't worn a choker necklace since I was in elementary school but I kind of love that they're back in right now. As much as I love my statement necklaces, it's nice to mix things up every now and then.
We came home from St. George on Wednesday. We were a little sad for our trip to be over but then we heard that it had gotten to 108 degrees yesterday. Suddenly being home in 100 degree weather seemed great. Things are a little crazy for us at home right now though. We are moving in two weeks and really haven't made a dent on packing yet. And you know how easy it is to get things done with two little girls... Especially a two-year-old that likes to take things out of boxes as quickly as you put them in. Seeing as it took me an entire day just to pack for our St. George trip, packing everything we own should only take me a year...

I still think you look great! What really is kind of neat about this look- the fringe from the shirt and the fringe/string from the cutoff of the shorts, really makes the look unique. Add the milkmaid braid (which I am jealous because I've yet to master it!) you are rockin' a great "squeeze yourself into whatever" look!
