Red Rocks and Floral Cardigans

A part of me never wants to leave St. George because of all the gorgeous scenery for pictures! Plus it goes so well with the boho vibe I've been playing with lately. The more realistic and practical side of me says, "get me the heck out of this ridiculous heat, you crazy person. You wouldn't last here one summer." Although I did live in Brisbane, Australia for three years with no air conditioning in our house or car. Apparently time and plentiful AC has turned me soft.

This floral cardigan has been doing double duty for me this trip. It has been worn as a fun statement piece to an otherwise lackluster outfit and it has been serving as a swimsuit cover up. And I'm pretty pleased with these mint bermuda shorts. I feel like I'm always on the search for cute, modest shorts. I just never seem to find ones that I absolutely love. These ones are super stretchy and comfortable, one of my favorite colors, and I got them on sale for $13. Not too shabby.

I'm debating whether to tell you a poop story. Is that just too gross? It's baby poop. That's not so bad right? And it involves the shorts I was just discussing. Okay let's keep this vague but to the point. I was walking Lily around yesterday, just trying to keep her entertained and she... made a mess. It was a big mess. It wasn't the kind that slowly seeps out, no, this one shot strait out the side of her diaper and right onto my mint shorts. My poor mint shorts. That baby went strait into the nearest sink for a good hose down. And don't worry, the shorts were salvaged. Two washes and a whole lot of stain remover later.

You're welcome for that story. I promise not to share any more baby poop stories for at least a week ;)

  2. Baby poop is always a good time! lol. That made me laugh because I was just feeding my little Ben the other day, when I suddenly felt something warm on my leg and realized he pooped all over me! We've been giving him pear juice, because he couldn't go. That's what I get for giving him two bottles of pear juice instead of one! It was how you described yours. Never realized in my life just how messy babies can be! I've been obsessed with floral print lately! That cardigan is super cute. :)
