Dressed Down Pencil Skirt
Gray v-neck top: Forever 21 (almost identical here) | Pink pencil skirt: Victoria's Secret (similar here) | Leopard strappy sandals: Forever 21 (similar here) | Purple aviators: Ray-Ban | Gold watch: Kate Spade | Blue and silver necklace: Target (similar here)
On the days when it is simply too warm for pants and I'm sick of wearing shorts, I opt to dress down a pencil skirt. Especially a stretchy, comfortable, colorful one like the skirt I'm wearing here. I'm not too hot, I can move around fairly freely, and I can still feel cute. I especially love pairing them with a soft v-neck tee because, if I could, I would live in one all the time. All. The. Time.
It's been hard to get back into the blogging swing. Things are still crazy from the move and to add to that, we thought we would be moving again at the end of the month. Not just moving but moving across the country. We decided against it in the end but it put me even further behind with unpacking (since I figured there was no point to unpack if we were moving again.) So putting together a cute outfit is a challenge involving searching through multiple boxes and in multiple rooms for jewelry, makeup, and shoes. My clothes aren't even all hung up at this point. Maybe I should just take a pointer from my two-year-old and put on the first things that I see. That would make a pretty amazing blog post I think ;)
The color of that skirt is gorgeous!! I love how it is simple but pretty :)

I love that you left the tee shirt untucked. It really adds a lovely casual vibe to this look!

One of the best things about fashion is how versatile it is. I love gaining inspiration from others on how to dress pieces up or down. It makes a wardrobe stretch to it's fullest. I think this look is perfect! Yes, there are hot days where I ask myself, do I have to wear pants today? haha (;
