Lilac Lovin' and a New Do

Notice anything different about me? I polished my watch! Nah, just kidding. I cut my hair! If you follow me on instagram (@sierraelizabethblog) then this is probably old news. I've had long hair for most of my life. And while I loved it, I hated the lack of volume I had near my roots. When my hair wasn't curled it was so straight and lifeless. And since curling my hair took at least 20 minutes, it was hard to fit into my schedule without feeling like I was taking too much time away from my kids (with getting dressed and doing my makeup included.)

So this new style is definitely welcomed! I've wanted to try a lob (long bob) for about a year now so this cut was a long time coming. It was kind of terrifying to make such a drastic change but luckily it paid off (at least I think so!) I feel like I look like I have much more maturiosity. Yep, that's a fake word but much more fun to say ;) And ironic because the use of such a word suggests a lack of maturity... But really, hopefully now I'll be getting fewer people telling me that I look like a teenager.

What do you think of the new do? Are you a fan of long or short hair?

And on an interesting side note, I bought this skirt for $4.99! What! Crazy deal, right?

  1. Oh Sierra that lavender sweater is gorgeous especially paired with the midi striped skirt. And I am loving your hair. I am so close to cutting mine into a bob and putting some highlights in it, too. =)

    Happy February pretty mamma! Ada.

  2. The hair cut looks great! I had a similar change a couple of years ago due to the volume "issue" - ha. Also, the outfit is lovely. Thanks for linking up with Fashionably Employed.

  10. I love your fake word and I'm totally going to use it all day now. (; I think you look fab with shorter hair. I think no fuss hair as a mom is a must. I love my long hair, but constantly think about chopping it. (; It's fun to change it up now and again.

  17. Love your hair... the cut and color and just gorgeous! I did a longish bob once and didn't get good reactions. I wish I could pull it off, but people said I looked 12, or they would just say, "Oh... you cut your hair." Not a good feeling! :P
