Black and White All Over

Lately I'm finding myself more and more drawn toward neutrals. Black and white outfits can be both striking and minimalist. It's a contrasting yet complementary pairing. And it provides the perfect opportunity to wear a bold lip. And I can never say no to a bold lip. Plus it's a look that never goes out of style.

To keep things interesting, I like to mix textures. For example, in the look in this post I chose a ribbed skirt and leather wedges. However, black and white looks can also make an ideal canvas for statement jewelry. And in that case, keeping the rest of your look more simplistic may be the better/safer way to go.

And in the fall, black and white layers are especially chic. I'm putting that on my outfit bucket list for this year.

While black and white is a gorgeous combo, I do have one disclaimer. Sticky peanut butter toddler fingers seem to be magnetically attracted to white skirts. Thank goodness for baby wipes and stain removers.

  4. And that my friend, is why I have no white clothing in my closet. lol I wouldn't even have to move and some sort of "spot" would magically appear on something. haha I do love a black or navy top with some white in it though. I hope we see window pane print in lots of fall clothes this year! (:
