I have to say that I'm a bit of a sucker for leather (or faux leather). Especially when it's used as accent, such as for a pocket or sleeves. It just adds a little edginess and really spices up an outfit.

I wore this fun dress on my husband's birthday on Sunday. He turned 27 and he wasn't super happy about it. In honor of the occasion I made him a cake... and it was not pretty. It looked like one of those cakes from pinterestfail.com. I wasn't even trying to do anything fancy and it still turned out to be a train wreck. I was trying to make it while making dinner and I was in a rush. Otherwise, I'm sure it would have been a masterpiece... maybe. At least it still tasted great!
