Mint Lace and Big Hair
Mint lace tank: Kohl's | Black blazer: Target (similar here and here) | Jeans: Theory via Nordstrom Rack (similar here) | Gold watch: Kate Spade | Aviator sunglasses: borrowed from hubby (similar here)
I absolutely love this mint lace trimmed tank. It's soft and oh, so pretty. What's even better about it is that I got it on sale for just $10. Pretty fantastic. I think that flowy tanks like this one look great with a structured blazer. It's slimming and gives you a little more of a figure than you would have wearing just the tank.
I decided to switch things up and use the smallest head for my curling iron. The result was a lot of tight, curls and a LOT of volume. By the next day my hair was even bigger and next to impossible to run a brush through. Hard curls to manage but they are great for creating really pretty up-dos.
This outfit was worn on date night on Saturday. We went to Texas Roadhouse and I ate a big, delicious burger, which I'm sure comes as no surprise to anyone who knows me When we got back home, John got Eve ready for bed while I got the baby to sleep. John's a big softy when it comes to the girls. He will lie down with Eve until she falls asleep. I, however, will stay for a couple of minutes and then leave. This time when John was lying down with Eve, he tried to get out of her bed before she was asleep and she told him, "Shhhh, you're tired. Just close your eyes." And, of course, he obliged. Such a clever little two-year-old.

The mint color really pops against the black pants and jacket. Great look!

DeleteI don't know what I love more. The hair experiment with the wand, the shoes or that lace tank. Oh wait, I know. It's the fact that the lace tank is $10 and I am running to Kohl's tomorrow for that tank. If you see an outfit recreation on my blog, don't fear, you get all the credit! Woo!
