Mommified Neutral Outfit

Today I thought I would try something different and share two takes on a look. The first take is dressier but not something that a SAHM could always wear. I took that look and "mommified" it- in other words, I created a more mom-friendly version. A momsemble, if you will. If I was going on a date, or out with a girlfriend, I would chose the first. But on days where I'm going to the grocery store or to a playground, the second look would be my pick. I think they both look great. They both feature a soft, trendy, neutral color scheme.

Look #1: Neutral Glam

Nude heels  |  Lipstick (in fuchsia flash)

Neutrals are definitely on-trend. Because I went with a soft color scheme, I was able to add fun accents like sequins without looking too dressed up.  I chose a bold fuchsia lip to add a pop of color.

Look #2: Fashionable and Mom Friendly

Similar white jeans  |  Nude flats (25% off with code PRES)

For this "mommified" version, I switched out my nude heels for nude flats and wore a nude colored tank without the sequins. Sequins can be a little scratchy on baby skin and sometimes little kids like to pick at them. So I chose to leave them out of the equation. I opted for some delicate earrings and skipped the necklace. With a ten-month-old baby, dangling earrings can be a hazard, so I don't usually wear those every day. I do wear necklaces most days, but sometimes it nice to just skip one due, once again, to those grabby little hands. I also choice a hairstyle that kept my hair out of my face which is how my hair is most of the time when I'm at home. I toned down the makeup simply by switching out my lipstick for a softer hue. Sometimes I still do some fun eye makeup, but if I don't have time or I'm not in the mood, I just throw on some mascara, or some mascara and a small cat eye, or some mascara and false lashes.
